Where training meets commitment
Comprehensive training
We are proud not only to launch early careers but also to cultivate a highly educated, dedicated, and recognized staff. In the city’s training facility for the police and fire departments, we train together with paramedics from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. This not only ensures exceptional preparedness but allows us to build relationships for seamless collaboration on emergency scenes. These training sessions are simulation-based to ensure competent and reliable caregivers from day 1.
World-class leadership
Leaders at Falck San Diego bring experience not only in the local EMS system but from highly respected systems nationwide. To build a strong team and ensure smooth operations, we dedicate paramedic supervisors to each area of the city. This provides caregivers with frequent supervisor interaction and first-hand feedback. It also provides leadership with important insight into working conditions, quality of care, and the patient experience.
Dedicated Training Center
We recently celebrated the launch of our all-new Training Center. Located at our San Diego headquarters, the Training Center spans approximately 4,300 square feet and offers large, bright classrooms for paramedic and EMT classes, breakout rooms designed for realistic hands-on training scenarios, instructor office space, and a large break room/kitchen shared with on-duty crews.
The center features state-of-the-art video technology and a large, flexible space that can host community events. An example of Falck’s investment in San Diego and maintaining full paramedic and EMT staffing, the Training Center offers paramedic training through a partnership with Southwestern College.
